Jailer pleads not guilty to raping inmate

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) – A Mineral County detention officer accused of raping a jail inmate has pleaded not guilty.

Fifty-2-year-old Clyde Lee Dill is charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent and one count of attempted sexual intercourse without consent — both felonies. He entered his pleas Monday.

Prosecutors say Dill had sexual contact with the inmate between August 27th and November 14th of last year. He was working the night shift at the jail.

Dill also is accused of depositing small amounts of money into the woman’s jail bank account after the alleged intercourse took place.

Ex-prison guard to stand trial

A former Fayette County corrections officer who was fired for allegedly smuggling tobacco and prescription narcotics into the county jail was held for trial on criminal charges Tuesday after a preliminary hearing.

Tim Hamborsky, 48, of Connellsville, is charged by the Fayette County Drug Task Force with possessing a controlled substance, possessing with intent to deliver and bringing contraband into a prison. Continue reading
