Former Conn. guard accused of sexual assault

SOMERS, Conn. – Connecticut state police have arrested a former state prison guard, accusing her of having sex with two inmates while on the job.

Twenty-four-year-old Megan Schnitzler of Windham is charged with sexually assaulting the inmates last summer when she worked at the Osborn Correctional Center in Somers.

Schnitzler was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault. The charges stem from separate incidents at the prison that allegedly took place on July 1 and Sept. 1.

She’s been released on 40,000 bond

Correction Department spokesman Brian Garnett says Schnitzler began working there Oct. 10, 2003 and resigned last Oct. 23.

  1. Disgusting pigs of officers like that , give real peace officers a bad reputation. Absolutely disgusting!!

  2. In a nation wherein “In GOD We Trust” has become a mere creed on the money upon which it is printed, corruption and wickedness exist on both sides of the badge and the bars. Yet, are they bad men just because they made some bad choices? Do not all of us have A’s and F’s on our moral report cards? As I so stated on my blog, we can’t fix it IF we can’t face it. I dare anyone who wants to fix their F’s to read that textbook in sex education and then to trust in GOD…and that’s my final answer!
